Join members and their guests on a hike along the Pacific Ocean at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve in Moss Beach. Bring binoculars and water. No dogs are allowed in the Reserve. Meet in the parking lot by the Visitor Center.

Recognize the name Commodore John Drake Sloat? Listen in as author
Bruce Castleman, who has written the standard biography of the U.S. Navy Sailor, shares stories about the role Sloat played in our country’s Manifest Destiny westward expansion in 1846, and why his actions led the S.F. Unified School District to consider renaming an elementary school bearing his name, in addition to the city naming a major thoroughfare "Sloat Boulevard”.

Mid-Peninsula Village members and volunteers - We‘re having an informal social event so we can relax together, and get to know each other a bit more! This is a Drop-In Dinner (i.e. pay for your own meal). No need to register in advance. However, if you are a village member who needs a ride, call Joyce Burns at 650-346-3127 to arrange your ride.
