Who We Are

We are a group of local residents with the mission of helping each other to age in place.  We do this by providing access to support services that help people engage in community activities and continue to live independently. 

We are a membership-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving on the Peninsula from Millbrae to Menlo Park and on the Coastside from Pacifica to Pescadero, including Skyline.

Volunteer Manager Job Opening



Villages of San Mateo County is seeking full-time Volunteer Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of our volunteer program. The Volunteer Manager works in partnership with leaders in our three villages (Sequoia, Mid-Peninsula and Village of the Coastside) to ensure that volunteer engagement is maximized and there is seamless support for our volunteers


The Volunteer Manager is being hired to:

  • Increase our volunteer pool by expanding outreach and recruitment efforts;
  • Amplify volunteer participation and retention by strengthening mentorship support, peer collaboration, and appreciation for volunteers’ efforts;
  • Cultivate volunteer leadership and build a bench of future leaders through closer relationships and understanding of volunteer skills and interests;
  • Build a volunteer community rooted in connection and close relationships so satisfaction is maximized.
