Join fellow Village of the Coastside members and guests for a guided walking tour of Pigeon Point Light Station, one of California's most iconic coastal landmarks.
Perched on a dramatic stretch of coastline, the 115-foot lighthouse has guided mariners since 1872. During this 45-minute tour, you'll hear stories of whalers, bootleggers, shipwrecks, the construction of the lighthouse, the "Wickies" (lighthouse keepers) and their families, and the restoration of the tower. The tour also includes a visit to the Fog Signal Building, where you'll view the magnificent First Order Fresnel lens and explore the exhibits.
The tour follows a generally flat, ADA-accessible route. Accessible parking, restrooms, and a boardwalk leading to a scenic observation deck are available. Some paths include gravel surfaces where assistance may be helpful.
Please note that the tour does not go inside the lighthouse.
