Join Villagers and friends to start the week with a gentle walk. Enjoy conversation and connection - no challenging terrain - just a stroll together. If folks can’t make the whole distance, there are benches at various stops. Not suitable for those who use walkers as it is not paved but is well maintained. The pace can be very slow for those who need that. No hills to climb.
Meet at San Pedro Park visitor center in Pacifica. Each Monday at 11am.

The hike will start in West Portal, San Francisco and take about two hours. Getting there is pretty easy from 280 going north into San Francisco. When 280 splits in the city take the left arm marked for the Golden Gate bridge and 19th Avenue rather than the right arm designated for the Bay Bridge and downtown. Stay on the feeder road, which will be slow going, up to 19th Avenue where there is a light. Go across 19th and veer right onto Junipero Serra. When you reach the West Portal intersection turn slightly right onto Portola Avenue. There is free parking for two hours anywhere along Portola. We will meet at the intersection of Claremont and Portola. The hike will be mostly on sidewalks until we get to the dirt trails on Mt. Davidson. It will be hilly with views of the Pacific Ocean and an interesting San Francisco neighborhood. Contact Lois Aldwin by email if you‘re interested in going. loisaldwin@gmail.com
